Day 132 and garrets

by Sketchy on the Detail

I am not a starving artist nor does my house does have a garret so I have to borrow someone’s else if I want to play the part. Where better to borrow a garret than Dr Johnson’s House (, a fabulous gem of a museum hiding in a little court behind Fleet Street.

The museum is over four floors, the top being the garret where he wrote the famous dictionary. Though I’m not quite sure the purpose of the ladder…for when Casanova comes to visit, perhaps?
